At Christ Church we warmly welcome all children, youth and families in every shape or size imaginable. We think that children should be seen AND heard, so please don’t worry if your young ones talk, laugh, or cry during one of our services. We believe the sound of children is joyful to the Lord.
We offer Children’s Church every Sunday during our 10:30am service, where families can learn through sensory play about the light of Christ.
We also run a Summer Club every year during the 6-week school holiday, and host family events throughout the year, such as our Christmas Tree festival where our school Church Choir sings joyful seasonal songs of praise.
Our Choir Church runs at Christ Church Primary School every Tuesday, led by our Choir Director, Mrs Jayne Crow. Every class benefits from singing lessons, and Choir Club meets on Tuesday lunchtimes. Our children lead a Choral Eucharist in the school hall every half term – please see the notice sheet for more details. Thank you to the Diocese of Blackburn and the Lady Peel Trust for supporting this work.
We welcome school visits; and the ministry team regularly lead assemblies and lessons in local schools – please contact us if you’d like to know more.
Come join us at one of our services, and make yourself comfortable in our cosy family area at the back of Church. We would love to welcome your family into our family!
