12. Jesus dies on the cross

We
adore you, O Christ, and we bless you,
because by your holy cross you have redeemed the
world.
Luke 23:44-46
It was now about noon, and darkness
came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, while the sun’s light
failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with
a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.’ Having said
this, he breathed his last.
Reflection
She
watched them die, her husband and her child; brutally murdered in front of her.
No one can come back from that.
Prayer
Lord, we remember all those who have died
due to lack of food or water;
those who have died through violence and conflict,
or while they were fleeing;
those who have died during floods, storms or bushfires;
those who have died from infectious disease.
We remember those we have loved
who have gone before us.
Amen.
